Turbulence Training 2.0

This is a Turbulence Training 2.0 Review, if you are looking to buy Turbulence Training 2.0 then you can get it here (currently on special offer)

I haven’t written a review in a while but I assure you it was all for good reasons! Firstly I haven’t written a review on any health and fitness products recently because there simply haven’t been any good quality products released.

That’s not to say there haven’t been any launches though! There have been plenty of them! It’s just the quality of those products being launched has been nothing short of appalling. It seems as if everyone and their mother want to make money in the health and fitness industry – even if they possess no qualifications OR experience in helping people reach their fitness goals.

It’s sad really because innocent people who genuinely want help with their fat loss goals get duped into buying shabby programs.

Secondly I’ve been up to my eye-balls in work recently. I’ve been working hard on increasing sport participation for children in our local community, and as we’ve just had our summer holidays over here in the UK the amount of work was quadruple that when it’s a school term! Put aside the work my team and I put in this year however, it was an extremely successful summer program as we reached record numbers on all projects.

…and why I’ve ACTUALLY holding out on a review!

Thirdly, I’ve been waiting for good ol’ Craigy Ballantyne to release his much anticipated Turbulence Training 2.0.

Those of you who are regular readers of my emails will know I have a circle of 5 fitness professionals I follow and have the up-most respect for – Craig Ballantyne being Mr Numero Uno!

He knows his stuff when it comes to fat loss – he knows how to get results.

So when I got wind of Craig releasing his new version of Turbulence Training I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy.

…….roll on after nearly 6 months of waiting

TT 2.0 has been released….

However I immediately had reservations about the product as soon as I hit the sales page. I’ll explain more about that below, firstly I want to just give you a quick background on Craig.

Turbulence Training Review: Who is Craig Ballantyne?

Craig Ballantyne is a trainer just like myself, with a whole host of accolades to his name.

He’s got an exercise degree and is a regular expert writer for Men Health Magazine and also consistently writes for other magazines such as Women’s Health & Oxygen Magazines. Craig, a strength and conditioning expert from Toronto, is the personal mentor to many other great fitness professionals such as Shawna Kaminski and Mike Whitfield.

He’s an author, a mentor, an editor and a product creator a rolled into one!

Anyway this is a Turbulence Training 2.0 review after all so I think after 400 odd words it may be time to talk about the program itself!

What Is Turbulence Training 2.0?

TT 2.0 is a new version of his original Turbulence Training program. This time it comes complete with videos, shorter more effective workouts, a specialized Turbulence Training nutrition manual and 2 different workout programs for you to get your teeth sunk into.

24 Workout Videos:

These workout videos show you how you can work out and lose fat in fewer than 90 minutes / week. Each video comes with a detailed explanation on exercise selection and technique.

What do I think?

I think the videos a great however there could have been a little more spice in them – that being said there a few funny moments.

The great thing about the videos is many people these days like to use their portable devices to watch videos, whether that be an iPhone, iPad or any other device that plays videos.

Shabby bits of paper are a thing of the past.

So if you’ve got a device to watch videos, you can now bring those videos with you to your gym – failing that you can always watch them on your computer.

Turbulence Training Program Guide

Here we get a guide that gives us 24 different workouts to do coupled with a 12 workout program to follow.

What do I think?

The first think I noticed about the workouts is that they are quite a bit shorter than first workouts featured in the original Turbulence Training Manual.

This is all great but it needs to be done in such a fashion where the workouts are still as effective as or BETTER than before.

Well, today I performed the 3rd workout (random pick) and I can honestly say the workout structure and effectiveness is second to none.

Turbulence Training 2.0 Exercise Guide

The exercise guide provides all the exercises performed in the videos and outlined in TT Workout Guide. Each exercise comes with several pictures giving you the exact instructions on how to perform each exercise without giving yourself an injury.

What do I think?

If this wasn’t included in the package I would have been very shocked. Everyone learns and ‘ticks’ differently, so it is vital that all avenues are covered when teaching or coaching. Not only that but exercising wrongly can cause massive problems – the exercise guide take’s this risk away.

Detailed pictures with instructions on each exercise will insure you don’t pick up an injury.

TT Nutrition Plan

This version of Turbulence Training sees a new and improved nutrition guide.

What do I think?

Turbulence Training Nutrition Guide

Nutrition Guide

I know Craig’s been really strict on his diet recently. Obviously for fat loss reasons and general good health however he’s also been on a mission to cut all gluten out of his diet.

That’s not to say you should cut out gluten but I’m just trying to state that Craig isn’t just an exercise guy.

Now nutrition is pretty much like exercise in the fact that there are many ways in which to implements a strategy for fat loss – the TT Nutrition Plan gives us great plans that allows us not only eat well, but eat foods that make us feel better. (Ever ate a McDonald’s and felt like the dirt under your trainers/sneakers? Not nice!)

Bonus 1: Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks Program

This is a previous product created by Craig which I actually got to check out back when he first released it. Very good workout program although it’s not for complete beginners.

Bonus 2: Thermo 30 Workout Program

Another program that isn’t for the complete beginner, however it’s a perfect progression to the workouts in the main program.

Turbulence Training 2.0 Con’s

In this section of the reviews I normally list off all the things that ‘irk’ me about a product, and while there certainly is room for improvement which I will go into detail in a minute there’s something I quickly want to mention first.

Before I even bought the product there was something that struck me straight away – the cheeseburger line! Now while he certainly makes an extremely valid point in the fact that cardio is useless in fat loss, implying that a cheeseburger is as bad as cardio may seem a little far-fetched.

30 minutes of cardio cannot be as bad as a cheeseburger. Yes 30 minutes of cardio will do diddly-squat for your fat loss efforts but surely it’s healthier than a cheeseburger!

HOWEVER, consistently performing cardio over a period of time has been proven to be bad for your heart so in that respect he’s right in what he’s said – A cheeseburger is just as bad for you as cardio is. I just thought I’d clear up any confusion when you see the home page!

The other thing isn’t really a con but more of a suggestion for next time round. I would have like to have seen a coaching program. As far as I know Craig hasn’t done this before. Something that would still accommodate everyone but was more personalised would have been great.

Taking all of the above into consideration though, none of it takes away from the effectiveness of the program what-so-ever.

Turbulence Training 2.0 Pros

There are a tonne of things I could list off here, but this review is already a little lengthy – you can find a lot of the pro’s on the main Turbulence Training 2.0 page.

What I will highlight though is what I think is the biggest pro I have seen – is the way the program gives you exactly what you want. Not every fat loss program does this. Most programs give the person buying the program what the creator or author wants to give – Craig gives you what you need.

As someone who wants to lose fat and get the body for most to envy, you want short effective workouts that get results fast – no fancy equipment, and no complicated workout routines.

Turbulence Training 2.0 has been built and created in such a way where it appeals to everyone looking to lose weight, burn fat and ultimately lead a longer and happy life.

Another great feature of TT 2.0 is the way in which the workouts can be used in conjunction with other turbulence training products such as Home Workout Revolution. that, and the fact you can use the workouts and exercises to create your own workouts makes TT 2.0 climb above all other fat loss programs released to date.

One last pro I want to go through quickly are the bonuses. I’ve never been a great lover of bonuses for simple fact the rarely provide any value to a product. Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks, and the Thermo 30 workout program are perfectly suited as a progression to the main program.

I think the only other person to do offer bonus’s that added real value was Shawna Kaminski.

The main workouts found in the guide will put you in the perfect position to take these two workout programs head on.

Turbulence Training 2.0 Review – Conclusion

I’ve reviewed a lot of programs over the last few years. A lot of which were shockingly bad, some of which were okay, select few that were decent and the odd 2 or 3 that ‘did exactly what it said on the tin’ as so to speak!

Turbulence Training 2.0

Turbulence Training 2.0

TT 2.0 really creates a category for itself. I knew Turbulence Training 2.0 would have blown most other programs
out of the water for the simple fact Craig Ballantyne was the driving force behind it, but I didn’t know that it would come along and create its own category of…..sheer awesomeness.

A little bit too much of a compliment? Well I don’t think it is at all if I’m honest.

I’ve seen what the market has to offer and I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t (and what causes injuries), and although a few of those fat loss programs are really good, Turbulence Training 2.0 has set a benchmark that, dare I say, won’t be beaten any time soon.

After doing this Turbulence Training 2.0 review, I have come to a conclusion….

Turbulence Training 2.0 is a perfect blend of dumbbells exercises, with a slice of bodyweight training, coated with a few TRX workouts and finally topped off with a great personality from himself, Craig Ballantyne.

You can get Craig Ballantyne’s new TT 2.0 here (currently on special offer)
