We’re due for a busy time soon as there a various different fat loss programs to be launched in the next 2-3 months. Today I’m back with my first ‘launch-review’ of 2014 – Fat Loss Accelerators Review. For those of you who don’t know what a ‘Launch-review’ is – It’s where I review a program that’s just been released.

Today is a little different however as I actually missed the first launch of this program–

Kate, an NYC trainer from Australia is the author behind the Fat Loss Accelerators. She’s an ACSM Health & Fitness Specialist who was once herself overweight.

After doing a little research, I realised quite quickly that Kate had an enormous amount of motivation that I can only admire. As I have mentioned before everything you do starts in your mind – and when you get that part into place all it takes is a structured plan, action and consistency to reach your goal.

Will it be hard? Of course it will…but a little hard work never killed anyone as me Nanna used to say!

What is Fat Loss Accelerators?

Fat Loss Accelerators are workouts that have been structured and designed in such a way, that it allows you to increase the intensity without increasing the volume –this means, no more traditional cardio. They can added onto your original workouts (just after your warm up) OR be used as stand alone workouts themselves.

Component 1: 18 Fat Loss Accelerators 2.0 Videos

Here you’re given 18 mini workouts that can be added onto your current workouts. Workouts are short, hard and to the point – just how it should be. I would recommend watching the videos first as this will make it easier to ‘flow’ between exercises.

Component 2: Fat Loss Accelerators Manual’

The workout manual consists of only bodyweight and dumbbell exercises. Each workout comes with detailed pictures of each exercise.


                “Component 3: 8 Week Workout Guide“

One thing that takes up a lot of time is planning and developing sports sessions for the kids I work with. The same goes for the all workouts I not only develop for other people but for myself as well.

If you’re someone who finds themselves short on time then this PDF is what you will head for after you familiarize yourself with the exercises.

“Component 4: Exercise Guide”

Great reference. Here’s a little tip though.

If you have a device that can save PDF’s, once you get familiar with different workout structures (which you will), download the PDF onto your smartphone/device and when you’re looking for ideas for workouts, you’ll have all the exercises you’ll ever need.

Here you’re given another workout guide spanning 14 days. These can be used as a great addition to your 8 week program I spoke about above.

The second bonus includes 14 days worth of meal plans – which could be used as a great starter point for people who struggle with the nutrition side of things.

Fat Loss Accelerators Review: Cons

When the original product would have been released my first con would have been the fact it had no video – but seeing as we have videos in this edition then nothing more can be said here.

I personally wouldn’t call this one a con, but I have had people mention something about it in previous programs and that’s the reference to the Gym Boss watch at the beginning of the PDF. You don’t need to spend money on a Gym Boss. Kate does mention the fact you can use your iPhone – however anything that records the time accurately will do.

Once thing that did irk me a little about the 31 Fat Loss Accelerators PDF was the fact there was no table of contents. It just made it harder to navigate, scrolling up, then scrolling down…past the workout you’re looking for, then back up….past the workout you was looking for, until you eventually find the right one.

There is a way around this by formatting the text in a word document however. You’ll just need to spend 5 minutes changing it round.

Fat Loss Accelerators Review: Pros

If the videos would have been a con in the previous edition then does that make them a pro in this edition….? I’m not quite sure but it’s well worth mentioning them as they do make FLA a lot easier to use;

  • Watch and use in the gym
  • Saves you scrolling down to the bottom of the PDF’s to get exercise demonstrations
  • Allows you to see each exercise performed from start to finish – something photographs can’t give you

The fact that each Fat Loss Accelerator can be performed in a short period of time, makes them perfect addition to your current workouts.
Finally, I do like the fact that FLA ‘flows‘. By that I mean, all the PDF’s, the bonus’ included complement each other well.

Does it work?
That’s really the million dollar question when it comes to fat loss.

‘Does Fat Loss Accelerators work’

Fat loss accelerators continues on the current trend of short, high intensity workouts and that’s for good reason – because they work. However, to see the best results, I would recommend adding FLA workouts to your original workouts.

You can still use them on their own on off days if you want however.

Fat Loss Accelerators Review: Conclusion

So over-all I think Fat Loss Accelerators is great program. Not only can the workouts in this program be added onto your existing workouts but they can also be used as stand-alone workouts as well on off days.

Fat Loss Accelerators are short high intensity workouts that are designed to take your current workouts to the next level.

You can start with watching the videos, then move onto the 8 week program.

Just as you’re starting your 8 week program make sure you use the 14 day meal plans.

Once your finished move onto the 14 day workout program.

Now you’re ready to carry all the exercises around with you to start creating your own workouts.
