Cardio, cardio, cardio….oo how time’s have changed! It used to be the school thought, that cardio was the answer to your weight problems. In-fact there are still people out there that STILL recommend this type of training.

It doesn’t work. 

Although ‘cardio’ does have its place in a program, using it to try and burn fat will not only waste your time, but also potentially put your health at risk. 

What you need are shorter, more effective workouts that not only burn fat during the workout, but also after the workout as well.

HI! My names Chris Sherlock, I’m a certified personal trainer from London, England. I have been working in the sports, health and fitness industries now for the past 8 years, (starting when I was just 15) and in those 7 years I have worked with people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. I have worked with kids as young as 18 months old, right up to working with the elderly.I have worked on youth programs with kids and my most rewarding work came when I coached and taught groups of young adults who had various different mental and physical disabilities. So as you can see I’ve worked with a wide variety of people, and in this time I have come across some of the most amazing people.‘WAIT!!! You teach 18 month old kids lose fat?!?!’ Noooooo! Let me explain…

My second love growing up as a kid, (after my family) was football. (That’s soccer for everyone outside of the UK!) I would sleep, eat and breath the sport!! Every third sentence would involve something to do with football or my beloved team, Man Utd. You couldn’t get me away from it. 

I was a decent player, and I played for a few lower league sides as a teenager, but as time went on it was pretty obvious that I wasn’t going to be making it my full-time job. At the age of 16 I had already been coaching sports (football mainly) for a year, so I knew I wanted to pursue that path. 

After completing a few lower level coaching qualifications at school, I was finally able to take my FA Level 1 in football. With this, I was then to go on and start coaching kids of 18 months old.

What’s this got to do with Fat Loss Classroom?

Well on my 17th birthday I landed a job as a front of house receptionist at a major health and fitness club here in the UK, I didn’t know at the time but this was going to change what I wanted to do for a living. After talking to and meeting new people in the health and fitness industry, I new where my future lay.

Due to my age I wasn’t allowed to take any major fitness qualifications, so I continued with my BTEC National Cert in Sport I was doing in college, while still working at the gym and coaching the kids football.

In the year of 2008 we had a death in the family which hit me quite bad. So after finishing my BTEC National Certificate in Sport in the June, I handed in my notices at work, packed my bags and flew back to Ireland to look after my Grandmother.

I stayed there for 5 to 6 months and in the December I flew back to England with the goal of getting the relevant qualifications I needed to work in the fitness industry. 

In 2009 I finally passed everything with flying colours! I could now do what I wanted to do, help people. Not only was I helping people but I could now help people in an area that interested me!

Since qualifying as a personal trainer I have helped people with their fitness goals, whether this be fat loss, muscle building or simply to keep fit healthy. 

And that’s when I came up with the idea of Fat Loss Classroom.

One thing I have noticed, is a lot of rubbish circulates in the fitness industry, it’s full of lies and people trying to make a quick buck. So with FatLossClassroom.com I will provide you with all the information you will need to burn fat fast!
