So we’ve had Workout Finishers, Home Workout Revolution and I’ve even had wind that we’ll be seeing a new and improved Turbulence Training program (to be released in September) in recent weeks and months. The fitness industry has been pushing out some serious amount of information recently, and it’s easy to get a little bit caught up in all the hype.
I like to take the workouts in these program and implement them in my own workouts, and yesterday I actually did two workouts, 1 from the HWR and one from Shawna Kaminski’s Challenge Workouts.
The original program Challenge Workouts was released sometime ago, and has since sold thousands of copies world-wide. I actually got myself a copy and I was really impressed by what Shawna had to offer.
Shawna Kaminski? It’s not someone I have written about before, but it’s defiantly someone I think you should all know about. I’ll get on to who Shawna is in a second.
Firstly I want to quickly explain what Challenge Fat Loss is….
What is Challenge Fat Loss?
Challenge Fat Loss consists of 16, 20 minutes follow along videos that will progressively get harder each time, designed to burn fat and get you in tip-top shape. Challenge Fat Loss is built around a concept called Muscle Metabolism Acceleration- or M2A for short.
M2A is basically where your body will be ‘igniting’ your body’s ability to enter the Afterburn stage of fat loss. Afterburn? This is where you body will be burning fat for up to 36-48 hours after you stop exercising.
Shawna has created each workout in a way where your body will be primed for this state. So for example while you will be working on your upper body, your lower body will be resting, then the roles are swapped – giving you the best possible chance of achieving a seriously effective Afterburn effect.
Challenge Fat Loss Review – Who Is Shawna Kaminski?
This is a prime example of why I loving doing this part of reviews! I’ve had people who have lost a serious amount of weight, people who have done extraordinary things in life – but no two product creators have the same story.
Shawna Kaminski (Certified Turbulence Trainer – CTT) is 50 year old Canadian, who has competed in swimming and freestyle skiing. But that’s not all, Shawna is an ex bodybuilder who has won the Western Canadian Bodybuilding Championship and has placed in the top 3 for the National Bodybuilding Championship for 3 years. Shawna has also won the award of ‘Toughest Calgarian Alive’ competition twice.
She currently owns the Calgary NW Fit Body Boot Camp where she helps people get in shape.
Back to the online world, Shawna has been the author of Challenge Workouts – Where she beat good ol’ Craig Ballantyne at her pull up challenge! She has sold thousands of copies of Workout Challenges and now hits the internet again to release her new Challenge Fat Loss workout program.
Challenge Fat Loss Review – What’s Included With CFL?
Okay so we’ve gone through what Challenge Fat Loss is and who the author is behind the product, now I want to dig down into what we actually get for our money.
CFL Workout Videos
Here we have 16 videos that are all around 20 minutes long. Each video is created so you can follow along. This means instead of downloading a PDF and reading words upon words, you are able to watch each video and actually follow along as the video plays.
I think using videos is a much better way of doing things these days – especially to explain exercises. In my own business, one of the first things I try to stress to new clients is that they must always focus on performing the exercise properly. You can only ‘read’ so much from a picture, with video however you can see exactly how to the perform the exercise from start to finish – something which will prevent you from injuring yourself and ultimately destroying your fat loss efforts.
Here Shawna gives you a whole host of exercises to do. Each exercise is complete with detailed descriptions.
I’ll give my full take on this below.
During the launch celebration, Shawna has decided to throw in two bonus’. Whether these two bonus’ are only available during the launch phase of the sale remains to be seen. I will update this part of the review if she decided to take these bonus’ down.
Suspension Training Challenge Program
This part of the program is more like a bonus. Suspension exercises and workouts have really taken off in recent months. This is due to people like Dan Long releasing his Suspension Revolution program not so long (no pun intended!) ago. It seems like everyone and their mother are doing suspension workout these days. This part of the program consists of 3 follow along workouts.
The Surprise Bonus
At the time of writing this, this part is advertised at the top of the sales page.. This PDF gives you the exact diet to follow for 48 hours- hence the name The 48 Hour Challenge Fat Loss Diet. Again, when you buy Shawna Kaminski’s Challenge Fat Loss program, this will be in the download area but it’s wise to make a little mental note however, that although it is a great surprise gift, it might not be there after the launch finishes.
The Two Packages
When ordering you are given the option to purchase two more packages. These two packages are optional additions to the main Challenge Fat Loss program – meaning they are not essential however they complement the product really well. Here are the two packages available;

Again, you do NOT have to purchase these additions and it in no way affects the quality or effectiveness of the main program – but they are great additions which allow you spice up your workouts a little more.
If I was to recommend which package to choose I would say the 28 day Challenge Diet & Bodyweight Challenge Workout package because it not only allows you to workout at home but it also provides with some of the tastiest nutrition plans and recipes I have ever seen! You are given breakfast, lunch, dinner, sides and snack recipes – and I must say the chocolate cookies look really nice! Pick your package here
Seeing as the main part of the program was created in video format, I would have liked to see the exercise library presented in the same way. I know that creating one video for each exercise would not have been practical for the sheer amount of exercises Shawna gives you, but she maybe could have split the videos into; Upper, Lower, Abdominal and Whole body exercises.
That said, each exercise picture does come with a detailed description. Just to put it to the test, I gave a friend of mine, Ben, a few of the more complicated exercises to do. I gave him the exact description Shawna provides and he had no problem in completing the exercises.
Challenge Fat Loss Review – Pros
The follow along videos are excellent.
I like the fact you pick a video, press play and get exercising. So many products these days have an enormous amount of reading to do before you workout – and let’s be fair we want to be moving, not sitting down! Top marks to Shawna on that one.
Although the Nutrition Manual is offered as a ‘special launch bonus’ gift, it is a great addition to the Shawna’s program. Like I mentioned above, I would have liked to see the Nutrition Manual offered in the main section of the program, and I don’t know whether it’l be there after the launch time, so if you are going to get yourself a copy of CFL then now would be the time.
I also like the fact you can do the workouts anywhere anytime. Bodyweight workouts are the best exercises when it comes to achieving results without the gym. Each video is presented in an easy to navigate way, and you also have the option to download each video if you want.
Another great thing is the surprise gift she has for you as soon as you get to the download page.
Overall I think Shawna’s Challenge Fat Loss program is a great product. The whole ‘challenge’ thing is something that should be implemented in everyone’s workout program – you need to challenge yourself to improve both mentally AND physically.
The video’s are of high quality, and walk you through every rep as it happens. Of course, like any program there are improvements to be made, but even if these improvements were not to be made, it wouldn’t take away from the effectiveness of the program.
Shawna’s Kaminski’s Challenge Fat Loss does work if you apply exactly what she says, if you follow every rep and if you have the desire to succeed.
Every health and fitness program should follow the three pillars to successful physical and mental health; motivation, exercise and nutrition – and Challenge Fat Loss does this brilliantly.
